Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • I confirm that the manuscript submitted to this Schrödinger: Journal of Physics Education: (1) has been checked a plagiarism software/application, such as Turnitin, that it does not contain plagiarism (at least under 20%), (2) has not been published elsewhere (or even in-press elsewhere), and (3) is not being submitted for publication in other journals in the same moment.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • I will put my orcid ID and all author orcid ID in the metadata
  • Where available, DOI for the references have been provided.
  • I have prepared my paper and files in accordance with the journal style and format requirements.
  • I understand this journal charges the following publication fees.
    Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
    Article Publication: 500.000,00 (IDR) for Indonesian author and 35$ for Researcher outside Indonesia

    If this paper is accepted for publication, you are required to pay the Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs or otherwise the article will not be published.

Author Guidelines

The manuscript must be in *.doc or *.rtf format (other formats will be automatically rejected), and sent to the journal system via online submission by creating account in this Open Journal System (OJS) [click REGISTER if you have not had any account yet, or click LOGIN if you have already had an account]

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Article for SJEP covers all research in the field of physics education. the manuscript must be written in Times New Roman, font size 10  points, 1 space, one column, and paper size A4. Article be written in English or Indonesia Language using Microsoft Word in *.doc or *.rft format.

Authors’ name (personal or team), listed with no academic degree with institution address and placed under the title of the article. For a manuscript written by a team, the editor only communicates with the corresponding author. E-mail addresses and phone numbers of the corresponding author should be included for easy communication.

Articles must be written in English and Indonesia with the following requirement: Title, written briefly and effectively, font size 14 points, center and bold; Abstract, is written with following subheadings: Purpose of the study [30-50 word], Methodology [50-60 word], Main findings [50-60 word], Originality/Novelty of the study [50-60 word]; Keywords, Minimum 3 quality keywords separated by (;) are given. 2 or 3 keywords are present in the title of the article as well; Introduction, (without subtitles) containing backgrounds, literature reviews, gap analysis and research objectives; Method, should clearly explained research design, research procedures/frameworks, instrument, data analysis, and relevant modification should be explained; Results and Discussion, this part should be presented in the same part which all data/results should be followed by explanation or discussion. This part should contain the explanation of research findings by comparing the relevant literature or research. The research position should be clear whether in line or contradictive to the literature; Conclusion, presented clearly by concluding research result; and Reference, The main references are international journals and proceedings. All references should be to the most pertinent and up-to-date sources. References are written in the IEEE style.

Tables and pictures presented follow the certain Scientific Writing Guidelines or directly modeled on the manner in which the articles have been published. 

All manuscripts are reviewed by anonymous reviewers appointed by the editor based on their research interest or field of expertise. The authors are given a chance to make improvements (revision) of the manuscript as suggested by the reviewer or editor. Acceptance or rejection of the manuscript will be notified by an email.

Schrödinger: Journal of Physics Education charges the following author fees.
