Focus Scope

The Journal of Engineering and Vocational Education focuses on publishing research results, conceptual studies, and scientific developments related to engineering and vocational education as an integrated field. The engineering section covers applied engineering science and technology, engineering systems analysis and design, innovation in design and production processes, industrial technology development, and the utilization of technology across various fields such as mechanical, electrical, civil, industrial, automotive, manufacturing, and mechatronics engineering, including aspects of efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The vocational education section emphasizes studies on vocational learning and training aimed at producing graduates with technical and professional competencies aligned with industry needs, including curriculum development, learning models, teaching strategies, development of technology-based learning media, improvement of educator competence, competency-based assessment, and industry-based learning such as internships, teaching factories, and school–industry collaboration.

In addition, this journal also accommodates studies in the field of Communication and Islamic Broadcasting (Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam), particularly those that explore the integration of communication science, digital media, and Islamic values in education and society. This includes research on Islamic da’wah communication strategies, development of Islamic broadcasting content, utilization of digital platforms for Islamic education and preaching, media literacy in Islamic context, and the role of communication technology in strengthening religious understanding and social engagement. Overall, the Journal of Engineering and Vocational Education serves as a scientific platform that bridges engineering development, vocational education, and Islamic communication studies, encourages interdisciplinary innovation relevant to technological and societal changes, and supports the development of adaptive, professional, and globally competitive human resources grounded in both technological competence and Islamic values.
