Pengaruh Kegemaran Membaca Saintifik Terhadap Sikap Terhadap IPA di Sekolah Menengah Pertama
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi kegemaran membaca, sikap terhadap IPA, dan bagaimana pengaruh kegemaran membaca (X) terhadap sikap terhadap IPA (Y) di sekolah menengah pertama.
Metodologi: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linier sederhana dan desain penelitian deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kegemaran membaca menggunakan 4 indikator antara lain preferensi membaca saintifik, efek positif membaca terhadap kemampuan, sikap umum terhadap membaca, dan pandangan negatif terhadap membaca. Sedangkan angket sikap terhadap IPA menggunakan 7 indikator antara lain implikasi sosial IPA, normalitas ilmuwan, sikap terhadap penyelidikan dalam IPA, adopsi sikap ilmiah, kesenangan dalam belajar IPA, ketertarikan memperbanyak waktu belajar IPA, dan ketertarikan berkarir dalam bidang IPA.
Temuan utama: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kegemaran membaca kelas 7 berada pada kategori baik, sikap terhadap IPA berada pada kategori netral dan pengaruh kegemaran membaca terhadap sikap adalah lemah negatif.
Keterbaruan penelitian: Keterbaruan dalam penelitian ini adalah memodifikasi model pembelajran problem solving pada sistem sosial.
